Twenty years of building and changing IT in places where growth and safety are not a trade-off. Post-acquisition integration, platform migrations, new products, and now AI: my job has been to get them done, inside the rules that apply, and in a way the business is better off for.
I would rather back technology that lasts than technology that trends. With AI that means using the practices the industry has already worked out to be safe, and holding it to the same controls as everything else, rather than running it off to one side as an experiment.
I have run and advised enterprise IT in regulated, multi-country settings. Post-acquisition integration for a Nordic group operating in 23 countries. Backend platform decisions for a Norwegian software company serving the Nordic and UK markets. Software engineering and AI advisory for an international airline group. Before that, nine years building a product of my own.
2023 to present
Founder and board member
Intelligenta Europe OÜ, Tallinn
Independent technology consultancy. Software engineering and AI advisory for a major international airline group, delivered as an external consultant: solution domain architecture, delivery practices across distributed engineering teams, scaled agile delivery, monolith to microservices transition, and supplier management.
I also advised the group on its AI transformation. AI was already being used across the organisation, but nobody was coordinating it. Through interviews with area leads and stakeholders I mapped what was running and found the bottlenecks that mattered, then designed the target architecture for agentic and retrieval based systems and handed the CTO a complete assessment and roadmap, built around the group's own business goals. Governance was part of the design, not something added later, and I ran the training. The implementation phases that followed went as planned.
The technology choices were deliberately narrow. Nothing went into the roadmap unless the industry already had settled practices for it, and unless there were at least three credible alternatives on the market.
2021 to 2022
Senior consultant
Your Headway AS, Norway
Assigned to a Norwegian software company operating across the Norwegian, Swedish and UK markets. Supported the CTO on backend platform decisions for the next generation of their software, from comparative stack analysis and vendor evaluation through to hands on implementation and proof of concept work.
2020 to 2021
Head of information technology
MyData Europe, Budapest
Led IT and product development for tooling that enforced safe home office environments during the pandemic, protecting personal data alongside employer security policies.
2018 to 2020
Head of IT, Hungary
B2 Kapital CE, part of an Oslo headquartered group
Ran the integration of a newly acquired Hungarian entity into the group's Central European platform, with the regional IT headquarters in Zagreb and a Greek implementation vendor, across a distributed team of 11. Six months of design and regulatory customisation, then a phased migration of the entire subsidiary. Every cutover with downtime ran outside business hours, within BCP parameters. Central bank audits closed positively on both legacy and new systems.
2009 to 2018
Chief technology officer
MEVEER Holding, EMEA
The product started as my concept. I designed the first versions, led their implementation, then built the organisation around it: 70 people, multi-site, with the full development lifecycle, supplier relationships, pre-sales and international expansion under me.
2005 to 2009
Chief technology officer, then managing director
CovySoft and Smart Vision, Budapest
Built a 30 person IT organisation from scratch, delivering governmental, UNESCO and international supplier projects and an outsourcing hub for multinational clients. Later led a Central European development group of 8 to 12 people.
Post-merger and cross-border IT integration. Infrastructure and platform migrations that have to land without interrupting the business. Security, audit readiness, business continuity and disaster recovery built into the change rather than bolted on afterwards. Vendor selection and supplier management. Getting AI out of scattered, uncoordinated use and into a governed architecture the business can actually rely on.
